A fighter on and off the field, cricketer Yuvraj Singh has acquired stakes in nutrition-based start-up Wellversed.
Investment of an undisclosed amount was secured from cricketer’s VC firm- YouWeCan ventures. The nutrition start-up Wellversed was founded in 2018. Deals with products of all kinds of dietary regimes to maximize the healthspan. It on top has an online food brand- Ketofy, which has become quite popular among nutritionists.
The company claims to have grown 250% from the last year. The latest funding takes the total evaluation of the start-up to 100 crore INR. This makes Mr Singh becoming the biggest investor in the start-up.
The cricketer will be the brand ambassador of the company. Which will help in the research and development of the product. The funds acquired will be utilized for scaling up the reach of the products, to help people get enrolled for health plans across India.
