Dunkin Donuts’ vision of ‘America Runs On Dunkin’ is prompt to be overtaken by Inspire Brand Inc. The Arby’s Restaurant Group will buy Dunkin Brands Group Inc for USD 8.8 billion.
The talks between both the companies started before the pandemic, according to Inspire. The total transaction including debt will secure the deal to USD 11.3 billion. It will be the second-largest acquisition of a North American restaurant in a decade.
The owner of Baskin Robins, famous for its 31 flavours of ice cream with a presence in 60 countries across the globe is going to see different light from next year. The Inspire Brands already owns chains of popular restaurants across America like Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In, and Jimmy John’s. The deal is expected to happen by the end of this year.
