According to the reports, it is now rumoured that the OnePlus 9 series has only two models. This contradicts an earlier leak in the upcoming OnePlus 9 family that indicated three new phones.
However, it aligns with OnePlus’s past record of two flagship models being launched in one go. OnePlus does, however, offer a refresh to its annual flagships, denoted with the letter “T”.
For instance, last month, the firm launched the OnePlus 8T as an improvement to the OnePlus 8. Likewise, in 2019, it released the OnePlus 7T and the 7T Pro as a mid-year update to the OnePlus 7 series.
Sources say that no third OnePlus 9 smartphone was available and that the standard OnePlus 9 will debut next year in mid-March along with the OnePlus 9 Pro. The latter part of the launch timing is also corroborated by a recent article that also suggested releasing the OnePlus 9 phones in mid-March.
At this point, reports regarding the OnePlus 9 series seem to be unsubstantiated. Therefore, it is best to wait for OnePlus to give out an official report.
