Google Meet add new features to breakout rooms allowing moderators to split meeting participants into smaller individual groups. The Breakout rooms in Google Meet is now available for Google Workspace, Essentials, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus customers, as well as G Suite Business and Enterprise for Education customers.
To enhance the experience in breakout rooms, Google is also adding 3 new features. Where Participants can now ask for help while they’re in a breakout room. Although, the moderator will be able to view the request from the moderator panel and join the breakout room when someone requests for help. Beyond this, moderators are permitted to set timers for breakout rooms. Participants using the breakout room will be notified 30 seconds prior the time is up after that will be prompted to turn back to the main call.
Also, 100 breakout rooms can be supported by Google Meet during a call. Moreover, Dial-in via phone participants can also join breakout rooms now, and support for anonymous users within 2 weeks.
