Instagram has introduced new changes, including the ‘Branded Content Tag’ feature in Reels, for branded content on its website. Instagram has launched the Reels branded content tag, and Live will soon be launched as well.
In an official blog post, Instagram said, “We want to ensure creators can clearly disclose when they’re creating branded content, no matter what format they choose to use. To help increase transparency, the Branded Content tag is launching in Reels today, and will begin testing in Live in the coming weeks.”
Instagram is also launching a new workflow where advertisers will be able to build advertisements for branded content without first having to post them on Instagram organically. As a result, when they choose to run branded content ads, advertisers can have more versatility and fewer restrictions. In Instagram Stories, advertised content ads will now include tappable elements, such as @mentions, location and hashtags. As the company want brands to have access to the creative of organic stories that are native and authentic to the experience of stories.
Recently, Instagram unveiled the opportunity for brands and developers to set a minimum age for Instagram feed posts for their branded content. Now for particular countries, developers may opt to set a default minimum age or minimum age, or a combination of both.
