Pine64 Store lists the brand new PinePhone KDE Community Edition for pre-order, starting from $150. The phone runs the KDE Project on top of Linux alongside Plasma Mobile user interface out of the box.

KDE’s Plasma Mobile UI is beautifully designed with baked-in apps, such as file manager, web browser, weather, clock, calendar, calculator, document reader, music player, contrast checker, voice recorder, feed reader, camera, notes, and even a game centre. However, the Users gets the ability to taste the flavour of different operating systems simply by replacing the preinstalled software or booting different OS based on Linux directly from a microSD card.

Coming to the specs, the PinePhone KDE Community Edition houses an Allwinner A64 Quad-Core CPU with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. It sports up to 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, alongside up to 32GB eMMC internal storage, and a 5.95-inch LCD with 1440×720 resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, and hardened glass. Talking about the radios, the smartphone houses single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP, GPS with GPS-A and GLONASS support. The camera sensors are 5MP for the rear camera while 2MP for the selfie camera, alongside USB Type C port with HD digital video out. PinePhone KDE Community Edition takes juice from 3000mAh battery.

Moreover, the smartphone comes in two variant priced at $150 and $199.99 giving 2GB and 3GB RAM respectively. The expensive model comes bundled with a USB-C dock that allows connecting an external display, keyboard, mouse, and other accessories.
