The Xiaomi Mi QLED 4K TV is expected to launch today in India. Although the exact model that is heading to the Indian market has not yet been verified by the company, it is likely to be the Mi TV 5 Pro that premiered in China in late 2019. The new Mi TV model will once again enable Xiaomi to take on the brands of Samsung, TCL, and OnePlus that sell the country’s QLED TV models. Today’s launch of Xiaomi is expected to be live-streamed.
The Mi TV 5 Pro seems to be a possible candidate for today’s launch if we look at the teasers released recently and Xiaomi’s Mi TV lineup available in China. The TV was launched in November on the Chinese market and is available at a starting price of 3,6999 CNY (roughly Rs. 41,600). The India pricing of the latest Mi TV model is yet to be announced. However it is likely to match the Chinese price of the Mi TV 5 Pro, which comes in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes.
The Mi TV 5 Pro with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage was already introduced earlier in China. The TV also features an OLED Quantum Dot screen that can provide up to a colour spectrum of 108% NTSC. To allow multi-dimensional voice recognition, there are two 8W four-unit speakers as well as four microphones.
