Microsoft may reveal the next version of Windows this month

Microsoft is anticipated to host a new event to reveal details about the “next version of Windows,” on June 24, 2021. The announcement was made on the Microsoft website without any other information other than the fact that the event will be streamed live at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT.

The announcement comes just days after Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced at the Build 2021 developer conference that the company was planning to “share one of the most significant changes to Windows in the previous decade” in a separate event rather than at the conference.

Although it is unclear what the software giant will reveal, the event is expected to include details on new ways developers will build, distribute and monetise programmes and visual aspects and features that become part of the new Windows are expected at this event (Sun Valley).

New system icons for File Explorer, Settings, and throughout the operating system are among them. The Auto HDR function automatically converts SDR games into HDR content. A new version of the Voice Typing application to convert voice into text and a redesigned touch keyboard experience The Windows Subsystem for Linux now supports Linux GUI apps, and the Settings app has a slew of new features and improvements. Microsoft may also include Project Latte, the rumoured feature to run Android Apps on Windows.

Microsoft might even give the operating system a new name (Windows 11) and a new logo. But until then we have to wait and watch.
