The Game Awards 2020 with Full Winners List
The 2020 Game Awards honoured the best video games of the year and also rendered several surprising announcements, varying from long-awaited sequels to famous games with valuable additions. The event was virtually organized this year owing to the prevailing coronavirus-induced pandemic.
A future Mass Effect title, a new Among Us map, and two iconic characters to be added to Super Smash Bros. are the most prominent among the recent updates. Additionally, a trailer for the much anticipated PS5 game, Returnal, was also unveiled by Sony.
The title promises to merge sci-fi and psychological horror in a unique combination that could set the game apart from other games in the coming year while retaining traditional action-shooter gameplay. On March 19, 2021, Returnal is expected to be released.
Furthermore, for the first time, the iconic sandbox action-adventure is expected to have a mobile game of its own, which also promises multiplayer and co-op mode. Lastly, in the summer of 2021, Microsoft revealed that Flight Simulator would arrive on the Xbox Series S/X with the same level of depth as its PC version. It will be fascinating to see how on the next-gen console, the game, which taxes even the most high-end PCs, fares.
