WhatsApp Users Must Accept Updated Terms of Service in 2021, or ‘Delete Account’

WhatsApp users may lose access if the updated terms of service are not approved. It is announced that the famous messaging application will update its conditions of service in the coming year, which will take effect on February 8, 2021. However, if users do not comply with the new rules on privacy, they may lose access to the messaging app.

A summary of the new Terms and Privacy Policy Changes was posted by WABetaInfo, where it has explicitly mentioned that users may either approve the new terms or withdraw their accounts. Additionally, the Facebook-owned app reported that all users would consent or otherwise lose access.

WABetaInfo also noted that the mentioned date may be subject to change and that it is anticipated that the revised terms of service will be released in the coming weeks.
