YouTube link previews not loading on WhatsApp and other Apps
YouTube link previews are considered as a nifty feature as it enables viewing a short preview of the content on apps like WhatsApp without leaving the app. But this feature isn’t working as reported by several users on Twitter as well as Google Support page including me as I also love this feature quite alot.
If one share a YouTube link on WhatsApp or any other social apps which supports links previews, now the link preview fails to appear. Here are some complaints reported by users.
According to reports, the new WhatsApp update released recently has a bug that prevents YouTube links not to show previews as other sites links work fine on the app. For quite sometime users were seen reporting this issue but a lot of complaints are made in recent weeks. The bug is seen on both iOS and Android app of WhatsApp including WhatsApp Business as I use that app.
As several users have already reported this issue, it's quite obvious WhatsApp will soon release a new update fixing the issue.
However, on the same support page, a user says the issue has been fixed on the latest beta version of the app downloaded from ApkMirror.
If one wishes they can download the app from ApkMirror or wait for WhatApp to publish the stable app on Google Play Store.
